I recently purchased the Cisco E4200 v2. Most of the time, I LOVE the router. It gives me access to almost all settings I would like to change, and the throughput is pretty good. I get about 10MB per second if I am doing stuff through my network, and it gives me almost full access to my ISPs band
We first evaluated the Linksys e4200 v1 when our treasured D-Link b/g router failed after years of reliable service. At the time, the Cisco Linksys e4200 v1 had just been replaced by a newer model, the v2, that used a different chipset that claimed improved wireless-N support on both 2.5 & 5 GHz. Specials were offered by Cisco on the v1 router. After 2.5 months to the day the E4200 freezes up for the last time. It will not respond to a hard reset and has literally turned into a $200 paperweight. Cisco customer service simply keeps "escalating" the issue with no real help.
