Jul 01, 2009 · UPnP is considered to be: "Universal Plug and Play". My guess is when you try to connect to the Internet with the PS3, it is saying that the UPnP isn't available? There is a possibility that your router doesn't support UPnP.
I am experiencing the same problem. My PS3 internet connection test says that Upnp is available but that NAT type is still 3. I checked and I have UPnP enabled on both the router and the modem. May 17, 2010 · When it's on/off, the PS3 for example works fine again, but then games on PC like Battlefield 3/4 kick you after a few minutes online, which can only be resolved by turning UPNP on/off again, which in turn causes the PS3 to stop working properly in online games and you get lobby issues and basically cant find a game to connect to.
