Microfilters, phone line splitters and the ethernet cables can all develop faults over time. You can check to see if these devices are the cause of your router disconnecting from the Internet by: Testing your Internet when your router is the only device connected to the phone line via the microfilter. Usually it would disconnect every other day or so but would work when I restarted the router. Now, the wifi connection lasts five minutes, if I'm lucky, after I restart and won't reconnect at all. Please help because it has become a strain on me since I use my kindle for the majority of internet-related things.
